Debit Card Processing
Debit processing has been gaining popularity for more than a decade as consumers discover its convenience and merchants realize the increase in sales that follows the acceptance of debit. Debit processing offers the flexibility, security and convenience crucial in payment processing. By giving your customers the ability to use debit cards, you gain the benefits of a simple and highly secure payment option.

Bancard USA is connected to virtually every ATM, EBT and Debit network including NYCE, STAR, Pulse, Maestro, Shazam, Jeanie, MPACT, AFFN, Alaska Options, Quest, and the Interlink network. Debit card processing easily complements any existing or new credit card terminal by adding a pin-pad, wihle the more advanced credit card terminals include built-in pin-pads. Merchants who accept pin-based debit transactions can reduce the cost of accepting credit cards significantly by paying only a flat transaction fee. Pin-based debit transactions virtually eliminate the possibility of fraud and chargebacks.

Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT)
Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) is growing at a tremendous rate. Government programs such as state issued food stamps, Women/Infants/Children (WIC) and Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), issue benefits on an electronic card known as an EBT card. The card issued is similar to a debit card, as the cardholder has a specific personal identification number (PIN) that must be used when accessing their funds. To process an EBT card, the card is run through an electronic payment system that authorizes the transfer of the card holder's government benefits to the retailer for payment of products received.
In many states, EBT cards are the primary source for government issued benefits. Many experts predict that other benefits such as social security will also be issued on EBT cards in the future, which will require more merchants to accept the government issued card.
