Many of the Convenience stores are configured for pay at the pump. Normally there are 4-12 pumps with a card reader at each pump. The card readers and pin pads are all connected to a “site Controller” which resides inside the store on the counter. This site controller also has a magnetic stripe reader on it for in-store transactions. Thus the site controller literally controls every single transaction, inside and out.

Two of the most common site controllers in the industry are the Verifone® Ruby and the Gilbarco® G-site. Others include Gasboy®, Radiant®, Petrovend®, CCIStech®. Bancard USA is certified on most site controllers in the industry and uses the BUYPASS payment Platform for Pay at the Pump and for C-Stores.
